First Day!!

First Day as an employee at Wal- Mart....... Let's just say it should be an experience. I have three days worth of staring at the computer to take training modules...... BORING! And quite headache inducing as well. I have been reassigned from Electronics to Photo Lab . But I was also told that I could be doing a range of things from Photo Lab , Electronics, Toys, or Cashier. But my primary is Photo Lab ..... whatever that means! I am thankful for the job that the Lord has given me and will do my best to represent Him in all that I do. Here is to new adventures and laughing at those people who wind up on the website peopleofwalmart.com .

What is Love?

Artwork by Etsy.com seller License2chill

I thank God for His love for me. I have learned to love through the Lord Jesus Christ's example for me.Because He loved me first , foremost and selflessly. (1 John 4:19)

1: Jesus Christ has taught us that even though our emotions are effected by Love; Love is not an emotion    - Love is a Choice
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

2: Love is an action - Love is always striving to put others first.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)

I choose to Love my Savior , I choose to Love Him through trials and good times. I choose Him to be my master, and my guide always. I made that choice a long time ago. Have you? Have your family members? How about your neighbor or co-worker? Plus what kind of love are you showing to your spouse, your children, and everyone around you? Does that love line up with (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)? I know mine doesn't.

The Whisper of Spring

I look out the window in the morning and see drops of sun splashing the early morn with warmth, and hear birds serenading the cold chill away.  Spring is coming. It is not quite here yet , but  soon we will be sipping zippy lemonade on our back porch to usher in the season.

Name Rank and Number!!

Picture By Bonnie Jones Photography Etsy.com
My husband had to take an online future soldier course today. The course consisted of learning army ranks. Did you know, that if you are a Christian you have an specified rank in His army? It doesn't matter if you are a Four Star General or a Private, you still have a job to fill . The Lord chooses us and places us in different roles and positions in our church . What rank are you? Are you taking your command from the Lord seriously? Or are you on the road to going AWOL from the Lords Army ?

Baby Fever!! (Baby Things that I love)

Baby's seem to be everywhere. I love baby cheeks, baby feet, baby smell ..... not the lower level kind of course. I have been back and forth about having one with my husband for a long time and we know now, more than ever that we want one, as soon as possible. Unfortunately as soon as possible is not right now ...... right now we have four months to focus on getting my husband ready for boot camp, and then we have about 2 months of Basic Training and another 4 months of AIT . At the beginning of 2011 we said this would be our "Baby Year". A couple of job layoffs here and a major career decision later we are looking at waiting yet another year. My heart aches, I know I am young , I know I have plenty of time, but when you love somebody as much as I love my husband all you want is a little more of him to cherish . I will be patient, God has a plan and a perfect timeline for my life. And hey, maybe God will give us peace to make this year our "Baby Year"  who knows?

Trying my "Hand" at Poker

"A Smith & Wesson beats four aces." (American Proverb)

I learned poker over the weekend and enjoy it greatly. I revel in the psychological game play that comes with this classic card game. I don't bet any real money , just those little plastic red, white and blue chips that remind me of tiny dinner plates. I play mainly for the mind tingling thrill and anticipation of each hands outcome. If you have never played you absolutely must , it is just too much fun to pass up!

Active Duty

"Absolutely <3 this picture"
" A Soldier is summoned to a life of active duty and so is a Christian" ~ William Gurnall
My husband has joined the United States Army and will be attending boot camp in July. Those of you who read this blog regularly know that our marriage has been quite the adventure, and with my husbands wish to serve in the military I know the possibility of change will never change. I am more than thrilled for my husband because since he lost his job with the United States Border Patrol he has been longing for a more challenging career. The most exciting part about this new adventure is that we will see so many places , and in those places we can be "Active Duty" for Christ. Who knows how many people in different states and countries that we could give the gospel of Christ to. We are as Christians suppose to be on "Active Duty".  If you are not actively doing the Lord's work then what are you doing? A soldier in the military can lose their life at any time during deployment so he makes the best of the moments he has . A soldier in God's army can be taken home at any time as well. We are not promised tomorrow, so shouldn't we be taking every opportunity to reach lost souls? Are you being an "Active Duty"  Christian or simply an "It's my Duty" Christian? Be active, save souls with joy in your heart and serve God with your whole heart and mind , don't treat His command to us like a chore or a mere duty that must be accomplished.
