Joyful In all Things
The past few days have been quite taxing on my husband and I. After a year of work I decided to quit my job to dedicate more time to God , My church and My husband. On my last day of work I came home to find out that my husband had been terminated from his job. Talk about going from a emotional high to a very low point! At first I was going to let panic set in and allow worry to control me. After about two hours and a ton of silent prayers I realized that God wanted these circumstances to occur at the exact same time for a reason. The Lord lead my Pastor last night to say something like this, "Sometimes we lose all hope in life because of the circumstances we go through. And even though we do not understand what we are going through God has a plan for it.We just need to remember that we serve a risen Savior and a triumphant Savior. And by serving Him we can have triumph in our lives and have joy in any circumstance." The passage was in John chapter 11 about how Christ turned tragedy into triumph regarding Mary and Martha's circumstance. Mary and Martha doubted Christ at some point during the death of their brother, just as I did when realizing my husband and I were both jobless. I love my Savior and so does my husband. We are at peace with God's plan for our lives we want to see His plan through so that He will use our circumstances to reach others. As a sweet friend of mine said, "I am excited to see how the Lord will use this."

As mom said, "We are so blessed to have you in our family!" I am praying for you and Jeff. It is interesting that yesterday when we were asked to give a hymn and say what we are thankful for... I said that I am thankful for God's provision, because no matter where God leads my family and I, He always provides. I know God is Going to provide! The my favorite Hymn is "Like A River Glorious" ... God has used the words of this song many many times in my life. May it be a blessing to you. Love ya soooo much!!!!
ReplyDeleteLikewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
ReplyDeleteAnd he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:26-31
Sometimes we are so overwhelmed with our current trials we do not even know what to say to our Lord! How amazing that during these very times the Holy Spirit can intercede for us. He knows our deepest sorrows and is more that able to communicate for us! The Lord knows that both you and Jeff love Him above all else, and He will work all these things out for good. We are praying for you both! Hang in there for our Lord is for you and Jeff and therefore nobody and nothing can ever be against you! I am proud of you Laura! We love you!
When I first heard, I worried and my heart sunk. Not thirty minutes later, God assured me that everything was ok and it was His Hand at work. I believe HIM and am relieved to know that you do too. ;) Love you very much! Keep looking UP! I prayed Psalm 71 this morning with you and Jeff in mind.
ReplyDeletePs. 71:14-16 "But I will hope continually and will yet praise Thee more and more. My mouth shall shew forth Thy righteousness and Thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. I will go in the strength of the Lord God; I will make mention of Thy righteousness, even of Thine only."
Praise God He always provides!
Ps. 71:20 "Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth."
Love you both!
